CONSIGNMENT HORSES:

Julie offers full service consignment board. This includes board, training, marketing, showing horses to potential buyers, scheduling vettings etc. The farm offers the perfect set up for a prospective buyer to try a horse – there are full dressage and jump arenas, and a cross country field with questions from Starter-Intermediate, including a full water jump, banks, ditches, and many other fences.

Napa Valley

Napa Valley (Uno Don Diego x Soraya) is a 16.2h 2018 KWPN mare who was bred here in the US and is still owned by her breeder. “NV” has been brought along thoughtfully with the future in mind. She is very willing and learns quickly, and we were extremely impressed by her at her first off property XC school. She recently finished 2nd in her first BN CT. It’s exciting to have a US bred horse with this quality & brain and we are looking forward to seeing all that she will accomplish in her career.

Fernhill Next Star (Cornet Obolensky x Van Meta) is a 2018 KWPN mare. “Mini” has successfully competed through 1.10m jumpers with tons of scope and ability to keep stepping up. She has also been XC schooling. Mini has good ground manners and is easy to have in the barn.

Donail Balladeer

Donail Balladeer (Shannondale Sarco St. Ghyvan x Donail Ruile Buile) is a 2015 17h ISH gelding. Dom has competed through Modified with plenty of scope and talent for the top of the sport. He is a beautiful mover, and scored a 21 on the flat in his last outing at TerraNova. Dom also has experience foxhunting in Europe. He is brave on Cross Country, but he is a large Irish horse with a big stride so probably not suitable for a smaller person. Dom is an absolute gentleman on the ground – loads perfectly, stands tied, happy in any turnout situation, etc.

Fernhill Overdrive (Tangelo van de Zuuthoeve x Venus) is a 2019 KWPN gelding. “Ken” is a full brother to multiple Grand Prix winner Darry Lou. In addition to his impeccable breeding for show jumping, Ken is proving to be quite good at eventing as well – he finished 2nd in the BN at Pine Top in November, and then also finished 2nd in his first Novice at the SESSC at Chatt Hills. He recently spent a week jumping at WEC, where he impressed us with his scope & bravery.

Fernhill Colossus (Chacoa x Lady Alley) is a 2017 17h ISH gelding (54% blood). “Lio” has competed successfully through Novice level eventing. He also has experience in the jumper ring at venues such as WEC, Bruce’s Field, Poplar Place, and Chatt Hills, and he recently jumped successfully around his first 1.10m classes. Lio is a beautiful mover with 3 super gaits. He has excellent ground manners — loads easily, stands tied to the trailer, stands to be clipped, etc.

Fernhill Mister Corland (Corland x True Ella) is a 16.1h 2017 KWPN gelding. “Corland” is one of the best jumpers we’ve had in the barn. He stepped up to the 7 year old’s (1.30/1.35m) at WEC in February 2024, and was also Reserve Champion in the 1.20m Division for Week 6. Corland is the rare type of horse that is extremely careful, yet will jump from any distance and doesn’t get offended if his rider misses. He loads easily, stands tied, and is serious about taking a nap every morning. Corland traces back to Nimmerdor on the dam side, and is a full brother to Mick Haunhorst’s “Ireland”, who has been jumping Grand Prixs since he was an 8 year old.
